We are a faith collaborative committed to fighting for vulnerable families of RDU.
FOR biological families that are fighting to stay together
FOR foster families that love and serve when families fall apart
FOR adoptive families who provide permanency
FOR youth that age out of the system without a family
We are focused on 4 key areas that require our resources and collaborative resolve. We encourage you to choose a piece of the solution where you can invest your time and energy.
THE PROBLEM SUMMARIZED.
There is not enough support for families.
There are not enough homes for kids in foster care.
There are not enough families for kids waiting to be adopted.
There are not enough mentors and opportunities for youth aging out to help them succeed as adults.
FAMILY SUPPORT
Kids enter foster care because of neglect or abuse, but this can be prevented. With extra support, families facing hardships can stay together.
FOSTER & KINSHIP CARE
Over 500 kids are in the foster care system in Wake County and there are not enough homes to care for them. Some sleep in government office buildings.
ADOPTION
Sometimes parental rites are terminated because they cannot provide a safe and secure home for their kids. Hundreds are waiting to be adopted into a forever family.
AGING OUT
Once a kid ages out of foster care, they have to survive on their own. They often turn to unhealthy relationships, which lead to tragic outcomes like drugs and incarceration.

THROUGH COMMUNITY COLLABORATION THERE ARE MORE THAN ENOUGH RELATIONSHIPS AND RESOURCES TO END THE FOSTER CARE CRISIS.
